The sea has an undeniable way of shaping our emotions, our outlook, and our sense of self. No matter how much we try to bring order and predictability to our lives, the ocean reminds us that true power lies beyond our control. It needs no approval or feedback from us to reveal its beauty—raw, untamed, and ever-changing. And yet, in that same force, it grants us something extraordinary: a sense of stability, rooted in something far older, far greater, and far more enduring than ourselves. As a sea lover, I chase this paradox—the freedom and unpredictability of the sea, but also the deep connection to something timeless. Through my paintings, I attempt to capture not just the waves but the essence of this relationship throughout the seasons. It’s an intensely personal journey: from the spark of inspiration that arises from a perfect swell, to the preparation, the grind, the failures, and finally, the moments of triumph. Each piece of work on this site holds its own story, a reflection of the very spirit of the sea—the highs, the lows, and the undeniable beauty of the ocean's infinite power. Every wave, every brushstroke, every ebb and flow in my art is an homage to that larger-than-life force. And, in the end, it's a reminder that we're all just trying to catch a little piece of that inspiration.The sea can have a way of shaping our emotions and our outlook for the better no matter what the day holds. 

Standing on the shore, looking out to sea... this moment reveals a beauty— raw, untamed and ever-changing. The sea grants us something extraordinary: a sense of being rooted in something far older, far greater and far more enduring than ourselves. I am in awe of the freedom and unpredictability of the sea and the deep connection to something timeless. Standing on the shore, ones feet on solid ground... a sense of safety and steadiness in the face of the ever changing shoreline. 

Through my paintings in the Hove Shore Collection I demonstrate moments, a personal journey - from the spark of inspiration that arises from the curl of a wave, to the preparation, the attempts, the failures and finally, the moments of triumph capturing the atmosphere of the storm or the waves, the retreating tide or the untroubled glide of the seagull in the wind.
